Poured from a pint can. The body pours a hazy, light brown color. The haze clears a bit with warming. White head that diminished quickly though lacing was good.
Aroma is a nutty coffee with light berry tones.
Up front, the taste is light coffee without coffee bitterness. The light roasted flavor is about the same as in nose and the strawberry flavor works well with the hoppy bitterness that rises mid-swallow and then slowly fades. The bite is medium, not overly bitter.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation.

16 ounce can, canned on 02/12/25 stamped on the bottom. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a chalice, the beer pours a somewhat clear copper color with about an inch light tan head that stuck around for a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, grapefruit, pine and some figs. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some toffee and floralness noticeable too. No one flavor overpowers the others here. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one overall but wish the coffee had more of a kick here. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

Copenhagen 23/11 2025. 47,3 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. AleSmith's usual Coffee & Beer design with a cartoonish cup of coffee strolling with a beer can.
Pours unclear murky golden mahogany with a smal off-white head. Stable. Settles as as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, vinous and sugary odor, Caramel and toffee, Brown sugar in abundance. Dark alcohols and liqueur. Light whiff of citrus fruit. Not much impression of the coffee.
Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit greasy, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a bit sugary. Lingering. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Not much coffee but a fine Barley Wine.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little endeavor pours a clear ruby tinged deep amber with
a modest off white foam head that settles to a thick ring, light dusty layer, and displays some light
lacing. Nose of caramel, toffee, herbal hops, pine hops, and subtle coffee. Flavors hit the mark
with caramel, subtle coffee, toffee, dates, figs, subtle pine hops, herbal hops, light floral notes,
and berry nuances of strawberry and sweet cherry. Mouth feel is medium, light carbonation,
smooth, lightly warming, and with a bitter hop and subtly sweet caramel backbone that is
moderately dry.
Overall, a SOLID hybrid brew worthy of trying.
Cheers

On tap, Masthead. Chestnut brown/ruby colored. Nice head. Smells amazing (coffee is so noticeable). Lots of cherry, brown sugar and a lot of coffee. Surprisingly drinkable. Maybe the best barleywine ever.

A pint poured into the closest thing to a clean snifter I have right now. More of a tulip. Anyway, it's very dark. Sort of a lab potion quality to it, watching it bubble. It's like an amber-tinged brown with a thick cap of white foam. The head lingered, leaving some nice lacing.
I smell a mixture of fruit and coffee coming off of this one. There is a sort of berry element to it, like the pack of berry mix you get from the store to blend into a morning smoothie. That's more along the line of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, and cherry. The coffee tastes light and smooth here. It sweeps in on soft feet and sits there on the palette. There is a roasty, bitter backbone that lingers after the coffee and the berry notes recede. Mid-bodied. solidly carbonated. Smooth and creamy. Touch of sweetness fighting the bitterness.
Never had a coffee barleywine before! This is so much different from the Humble Forager Cedar I just had. A fascinating style comparison.
