This was barrel aged, and I think it always is so just as easy to not add a beer this time, big beer can, drank it is a snifter back at the hotel so I could fall zzz over it.

Bought at Alesmith in San Diego during their annual grand prix event. Canned on 08/30/25, consumed on 12/20/25. Left out for 30 mins prior to pouring into a Spiegelau stout glass.
A&S: Not a ton of head, which isn't very surprising considering the amount of time this spent resting in barrels. No lacing or oil legs. Jet black beer. The pour makes it look very thick. Aroma contains bourbon,
T&M: Even with the 32 months in a barrel, this beer still comes with some "hotness". You do get a good amount of complexities from the fruity coffee and dark chocolate. Barrel characteristics come in during the midtaste. Dark bitter chocolate and licorice in the finish. Mouthfeel is full and the carbonation is medium-high.
Overall: I would say I am just slightly disappointed by this one. It is very good, but not as spectacular as I imagined considered the collaboration between Alesmith and Bottle Logic (I might have overhyped this beer in my head).
