On tap at O'Brien's for 2012 SDBW.
A: Deep, slick black with a ring of fine, medium dark brown head. No real lacing, but it retains the foam quite well. Almost like looking at an espresso.
S: Mostly pistachio, with a little roasty stout. Not a whole lot of the base beer, but smells good.
T: Coffee and dark chocolate covered pistachio. The nut is really subtle but adds an interesting note. This is really tasty.
M: Silky, full bodied, and medium-light carbonation which works wonderfully with the body.
O: I love pistachios and so I really enjoyed this, but I can see it could be controversial. The nuttiness was nice but fatiguing, and so the drinkability score gets knocked a bit.
