Cask pour at Alesmith.
Dark brown with a faint deep red tinge. The frothy head is an inch high, exhibiting good retention.
A firm aromatic coconut presence melds seamlessly with bourbon and caramel. Nutty notes are evident. I get a little vanilla and chocolate. The coconut smells fantastic.
Nutty and bready with a delicious blend of bourbon and coconut, with the coconut being slightly more pronounced. Toffee blends with subtle chocolate notes. This is bursting with deliciousness. There's a little wood in the full flavored finish. The beer has an upper medium body with a great sticky and silky cask mouthfeel that augments the drinkability.
This packs a ton of flavor with relatively low ABV (5%?). Delicious. I struggled to nurse my pint but it still didn't last very long. Cask suits this beer quite well.
