Amber pour in the tall tulip. Modest head and average carbonation.
Tastes peppery but not too hot. Reminds me of the long green padrone peppers they like to grill this time of year in San Diego. Lots of vegetable taste. Quite dry. Not a hint of malty sweetness, which may be a good thing with all the chile flavor. Sort of an oily mouthfeel, though there is a persistent spritz as you take another mouthful.
A little sharp, but the heat stays in that perceptible warming range without getting painful. If you like chile beers, it's a great flavor. On tap at Local Habit in San Diego.
