Had on draft, in a pint glass. Thin lace that leaves lacing all along the side of the glass. Taste is hoppy, piney yet balanced with malts. Feel medium bodied. Overall very good double ipa.

An English-style IPA with some West Coast hop character. Very drinkable.

On tap at the brewery, 8/12/15. Pretty solid. Side-by-side with their White Linen, this is clearly the better beer. The better IPA though? Perhaps not. Call this a blonde instead and I'd be much more likely to agree. Flavor is complex, implying that there was a stronger hop profile (talking to the bartender, their next tweak is to dry-hop, which apparently was not done for this batch) before kegging. Aroma is nice - most of the hop hints come through here. Color is super light, almost kolsch-clear. Would definitely revisit.

On tap at the brewery in Houston, TX
A: Pours a slightly hazed, dark copper, almost red color. A two finger white head forms with good retention, and plenty of lace.
S: Grapefruit, pine. light resin. Biscuit malts, in the middle with a touch of sweetness. Finishes with a grapefruit and citrus bitterness again.
T: Like the nose, the grapefruit, pine, even citrus hops are up front. A bit of bread and biscuit with some sweetness in the middle. Finishes more juicy than I was expecting, especially after the malts made their presents. A light bitterness lingers.
M/O: A medium body that is crisp/effervescent. Smooth and clean at the same time. A well executed, if not exceptional IPA. Nothing bad at all, and very much enjoyable.
Not a huge hop head IPA, but it does finish with more of a juicy fruity flavor. Not bad at all, if not particularly exceptional.
