On tap at the brewery, D&T and Johnny's Gold Brick. They call this an Imperial English IPA.
A: Pours a near brick read color. A one finger white head forms with good retention. Some lace is left behind.
S: Sweet malts, almost sugary like. Resiny and bitter hops linger, with not much else to note.
T: Like the nose, sugary sweet. Almost candy like and cloying. Strong lingering bitter and resinous hops in the finish.
M/O: A full body that is resinous and oily. Moderate carbonation that is very slick. Some alcohol is present, and with the big sweetness and bitterness mixed in takes its toll. Not something I am coming back to again and again.
This reminds me very much of Meantime IPA. Very sweet up front, with linger resinous bitterness that I am not a huge fan of. A messy mix of strong American IPA and English IPA.
