Poured on draught into a pint glass (on nitro). Deep black in color with minimal head. The roasted malt flavors are really well executed with cold brewed coffee coming through the most. There is also a hint of dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is fairly creamy on nitro but a little flat (very drinkable). I would more than likely rate the standard version higher. This stout needs to be a mainstay at Town in City. I don't know if I can wait around for the next seasonal release.

Pours black with brown edges when held up to light, light tan head that maintains around the rim of the glass. Nose is roasty with black coffee notes, very light smoke. Taste is sweetened coffee, roast and dark malts. Really enjoyable drinkable stout!

On tap at the brewery.
A: Pours a dark black, nearly opaque color. A dense two finger beige head forms with excellent retention and lace.
S: Roasted malts are the show. Coffee and chocolate from the roast is dominate. Baked bread, simple but really well done.
T: Like the nose, roasted malts, coffee, unsweetened chocolate and baked bread. A bit of dark fruit yeast like esters in the background. Some bitter roast lingers. Excellent.
M/O: A medium to full body. Crisp carbonation, but smooth at the same time. There is a nice dryness here that I really enjoy for a stout. Really easy and enjoyable to drink. Something I hope they continue to have at the brewery.
Along with City Porter, this is the best the brewery has done. The two styles seems to be their sweet spot. This should be year around along with the Porter. Excellent and well made.
