Poured from tap into shaker, nice 1 finger creamy head, nice retention. Clear light golden to look at. Smells faintly orange, clove, but predominantly oak. Taste, somewhat similar, most of the esters are tamed down but the vanilla coming off of the oak. I am wondering if I had the same beer that everyone else did in these reviews. Thoroughly enjoyed this beer, and what the barrel did to it

Poured on draught into a pint glass. Appearance is a beautiful and hazy light gold color with one to two finger thick head and moderate retention. The flavor profile is quite nice with the Belgian yeast, orange peal, clove and slight peppery notes. The mouth feel is fairly creamy up front (medium/light in body) with some carbonation coming through on the finish. This is a very good beer, but I was hoping for more of a bite from the yeast. Regardless, this wit is refreshing and quite flavorful.

On tap at the brewery.
A: Pours a hazed golden/yellow color. A dense two finger white head forms with excellent retention and rings of lace left behind.
S: Yeast and esters up front. A mix of banana's, clove, and orange peal. Very nice.
T: Like the nose, banana esters are up front, though that quickly gives way to orange and lemon peal and a spicy clove finish.
M/O: A light body with effervescent carbonation. Though that chalky character gets in the mix, which Town in City is starting to be known for. Not enough to completely derail this, but the chalkiness is there. That being said, this is very to the point and simple, which adds to how easy and enjoyable this is to drink.
A good stab at the style, if just a touch to chalky in the mouth for me. Still enjoyable for what it is, even if not one of the more exceptional examples of the style.
