Copenhagen 17/5 2021. 47,3 cl can from Ølkassen web-shop. Illustration on the an is made out to look like a snapshot involving a pile of banana pancakes.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Quite bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a dark sweet odor of dessert and frit mingling with alcohol. Banana, cinnamon, vanilla. Brown sugar and molasses. Salty soy sauce. Liqueur-like fumes of alcohol.
Light carbonation. This, viscous, fat, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a bit of bitterness and a salty tang. Aftertaste is sweet and wholesome. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry like chocolate with a high cocoa content.
Not cloyingly sweet Imperial Pastry Stout. But Potent and with a decent kick.
