I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: rich dark amber/brown hue with a thick finger of creamy tan foam that leaves a nice lace. Attractive.
Smell: nice chocolate malt aroma, but it's quite light and there's a bit of a vegetal character in the mix that I don't love.
Taste: toasty malt flavor without much of that nice chocolate from the aroma. Bitterness is on the strong side for the style. It's decent but a little rough.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: this beer is just a little bit too rough around the edges for me.
