Picked it up in a crowler from the brewery a few days ago after quite enjoying a 5 oz pour of it on tap.
Pours a very dark red with a thick cloudy head, beautiful ruby color when looked at through light. Nose is lightly sweet and roasty, hints of caramel. Taste is mildly sweet, hints of stone fruit, like a watered down barleywine. Mouthfeel is very light and crisp, certainly a light drinking beer despite its dark color and rich flavor. Overall it's a super nice beer in a style that I am growing to love and wish you saw more of. All of the positive assets of a proper summer beer (low abv, light on the tongue, crisp/clean flavor) without giving up the roasty, robust goodness of a nice dark brew. The perfect 'porter' for a beach day.
