Another version 2 beer from Black Cloister, as some of the originals were tightened up and tweaked.
A: It's a glowing amber color that glows brighter orange-yellow in the light. The head reaches about a finger and eventually dissipates to a thinner layer that leaves a light ring and some spotting on the glass.
S: The malts are bready and set up against some spicy and grassy hops, while the Belgian yeast plays in softly with light notes of the typical banana and clove. That gentle noble hops funk is noticeable and meshes well.
T: Bready malts first that lean somewhere between toasty and biscuity merge with leafy, floral, and very gentle peppery notes. A distinct citrusy note kicks into the middle, with the finish offering orange zest along with cracker.
F: Crisp all the way through in a medium body that leans light but firm, this one is smooth until the end. Very drinkable with a nice complexity to the finish.

There best beer in my opinion, it has that nice golden look to it and the head on it is a little less than normal for this type of beer. The flavor has a good Belgian taste, yeast flavor.

Marty is one of BC's first 3 beers. And they actually open tomorrow (March 20). A very nice Initial Belgiany offering. BC has no food or guest taps, so Toledo better step up!
