A: Deep dark red with brighter garnet hues and a sand-colored head that sits at a fluffy full finger and rests for a while, dropping patches where it falls.
S: Lots of malts and dark fruits with spicy notes in the Belgian yeast.
T: This beer is malt-forward but with enough hops to even out the sweetness. Notes are predominantly raisin with perhaps a touch of figs and dried apples. It's gently spicy, as many dark Belgians are, without going overly phenolic.
Its got a rich, full mouthfeel balanced by the dry spiciness, smooth with lots of movement from strong carbonation.
