Poured from a tall can into a tulip.
Pours a hazy cherry/berry red with a fast-subsiding head and modest lacing.
The brew delivers exceptionally-bright cherry aromas on the nose, along with lemon, hints of raspberry, and some funk/yeast and brine.
The brew hits the tip of the tongue with solid cherry-pie-filling sweetness. The brew rounds into form in the mid-palate, with some citrus acidity and a bit of brine. The brew closes with tart acidity with some apple cider notes to mix with the cherry.
The brew is solidly medium, yet very drinkable, with good carbonation and an acidic/brine presence that prevents overt sweetness or stickiness.
Easily Fernson's best offering, at least for me. This is an excellent fruited Berliner that hits every note. Fruit funk, yeast, acid, and brine all deliver.
