You might remember Seed Series #019 and #026. They were like our other hazy experiments, but lower ABV, lighter in color, and brighter in taste. Those seeds grew into Patcher Pale Ale, our newest limited release.

Pours apricot/amber/gold with decent head and a good web of lacing. Hazy but not cloudy. Nice looking brew.
Slightly sweet malts, although some grainy wheat, and hints of estery banana, on the nose. Lemony citrus and grass notes in the background.
A nice pale clean malt presentation on the tip of the tongue. Mid-palate is ruled by white fruits--pear/peach/nectarine/white grape. The finish is all spice and ester. Banana, clove, white pepper.
Oh for one more notch of carbonation. Medium-light bodied and very drinkable, if this had a shade more carbonation it would be illegal. Still a nice finish.
Overall, this may be my favorite Fernson offering from an "across the board" standpoint. It's a pretty brew, with good clarity of aroma and flavor, balance, and finish.

L - golden straw yellow with a nice 1 inch foamy white head
S - sweet bready malt, wheat and spice
T - bready malt, sweet and estery with a hint of banana and clove.
F - light with moderate carbonation.
O - crisp and clean. Well balanced and easy drinking. Not exactly what I was expecting, but a very good beer. It’s more like a Hefeweizen than I would have expected from the description on the can.
Received via trade from @The-Adjunt -Hippie.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 16 ounce can into tulip glass; canned on 3/15/2019, best before 6/13/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of pine, peppercorn, clove, banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of pine, peppercorn, clove, banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light pine/banana/bubblegum, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is a very nice hazy pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; great soft feel. This one confused me at first, but it looks like they used Kviek yeast for it. Nice Citra/Mosaic profile. Juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops with fruity/spicy yeast; and a nice wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example; even if not what I initially expected.

16 oz can dated 3/15/19 poured into Ommegang stemware. 5.5% ABV, marketed as a hazy pale ale.
Pours a promised hazy burnt gold with a neat white cap of 1 finger, leaving lace behind and a thin ring of head.
Aroma is of bubble gum and banana +OF's, looks like they went with a Hefe strain here. Interesting. Slight citrus aroma, sweet honey malt, and grass.
Flavor brings some of the banana runt as well, but is more heavy handed with citrus and peach, banana popping up again, mineral water, and some dry hay.
Feel is crisp and poppy, very light bodied, leaving slight starches that once again are reminiscent of a Hefeweizen.
Overall, more like a juicy Hefeweizen than anything, this is an interesting take on the haze craze. Still delicious, will do well once it finally heats up around here.
Trivia : each can in the pack has a different collection of patches on it.
