A: single finger head with scattered lacing on a deep dark brown body.
S: toasted and roasted malts, dark chocolate, earthy and mild grass hops:
T: roasted malt base which is fairly bitter with earthy and grassy hops. A little chocolate malt as well. Balance is nice but hops are simple.
M: medium body and moderate carbonation
Overall: nice roast and hop balance but I still wanted more from the hops. So many black IPAs are either over roasts or over hopped. Just wanted more diversity from the hop character here.
