Appearance: Black, huge head.
Smell: Light roasted malt, mild coconut aroma.
Taste: Mild sweetness, then medium-light roasted malt and mild coconut flavor. The coconut is there but not heavy. Smooth mouthfeel. Finishes with the mild coconut.
Overall: A very sessionable porter with mild coconut flavor. I've had coconut porters/stouts that are one-and-done because they're too sweet or too coconutty. This is a very easy to drink porter that has moderate coconut in it. Tasty!

Pint pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a nonic glass.
Black colored body. Beige head which persists. Leaves behind strings and spots of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts and sweet coconut.
Taste has the natural flavor of coconut, along with lightly roasted chocolate malts. Sweet and earthy. Mellow aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Slight creaminess. Good carbonation.
Includes the natural coconut to good effect. Good balance of sweet and earthy.

Poured into a 13 oz Nordic pint glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a very dark brown with a finger sticky light brown head that leaves thin streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.5
Aroma is coconut, cocoa nibs, coffee grounds, and toffee. 4.25
Taste follows toasted coconut, cocoa, coffee, and toffee coconut is dominate but everything lends a hand. 4.25
Mouthfeel is a little above average, maybe a little dry, gentle carbonation, and at 6.2% ABV it drinks a little bigger but goes down easily. 4.25
Overall this is a really nice Porter, that will leave you craving the next sip. Well done and silky smooth. 4.25
