Tap pour at Alluvial taproom. Served chilled in a stemmed goblet.
Black colored body. Brown thin ring, and leaves film on the glass.
Aroma of rye whiskey barrel, oak, chocolate, nuts, and coconut.
Taste is strongly influenced by the spicy rye whiskey barrel, with other flavors arriving later - fudge chocolate, flake coconut, and a general nuttiness. Long lasting aftertaste with the non-barrel flavors becoming more prominent.
More than medium mouthfeel. Oily, smooth, and silky. Quiet carbonation.
Well blended to allow the flavors to express above the whiskey barrel. Higher ABV% is felt both as vapors in the nose and a general body warming.
