The Bakers' Brewery

Easy off the main highway that runs thru the area. Pleasant enough stand alone mid sized spot. Def looks like a converted diner. Easy parking. Big windows and mountain views. V shaped bar, and a bunch of tables and booths for dining. Mini brewery visible in the rear.

Extensive food menu with a bunch of comfort food options. Beer infused focused apps, burgers/sliders, soups, tacos. I tried the green chili, it was a huge serving and darn tasty...I enjoyed a brown ale and that was equally on point. Quality place for scratch made food and real beer.

Gotta love a place with pleasant and mellow reggae music on! Pleasant and easy going service provided at the bar.

Well worth a visit...good place to take the family to get a hearty lunch or dinner...Yes they have a bunch of baked good and desserts...it is the "Baker's Brewery" after all.

 

 

 

 

 

newer spot up on the hill there behind town in silverthorne, i think it used to be a village inn or something, and they have done little to change that corporate dennys kind of feel. it still looks like that from the outside, and still with the same booth and table layout. looks like the kitchen became the brew house, and there is a long bar across the room as well. its neat that they bake their own desserts in here, the cookie we had was amazing. the beer wasnt bad either, the french silk coffee stout was the best, but none of them were bad at all, ahead of expectations given the vibe in here. some tvs with sports on, a full menu (with excellent green chili), and a docile crowd. they had a long beer list, but several selections were out, looks like the menus could stand to be updated. service was a bit stunned, friendly enough, possibly baked (no pun intended). must be hard to keep good help up here in the mountains. this is a neat little spot, but im not sure i would choose it again as a post ski destination over either the dillon dam or pug ryans, although the food was fine. still getting their legs under them a bit, ill check back later in the season, but worth poking in for a beer...

Place is in what appears to be a converted Denny's. But don't be fooled, the interior renovations work well. Unfortunately no outdoor dining. Stopped in mid-day on a Monday, and the place wasn't very busy.

Only food we had was a bakery item - it didn't last long at our table!

Service was really attentive. Kelly stopped by regularly to see if everything was good!

Selection spanned an interesting range of standards and innovative concepts (like a Piña Colada IPA - yum). Not a ton of taps, but really interesting.

Overall, the quality across a range of 6 taster was high.

We enjoyed the place a lot! We will be back the next time we're here.

 

 

 

 

This is an interesting place. The head brewer was poached from Dillon Dam and clearly knows how to make good beer. However I think moving forward this brewery may be hampered by problems so we'll see how they do in the next couple years.

Vibe: It's a converted Village Inn, but they have done a pretty decent job modernizing it. The views from the windows are outstanding. They have a bar area and a bunch of booths around the outside of the building.

Quality: It's kind of hit or miss. The beers were mostly good to great. I enjoyed the French Silk Porter and Mango Ginger Saison. The Rye'd Open wasn't great. The white beer bread was delicious. The wheat beer bread was crumbly and inconsistent. The fries were awesome.

Service: The service was very good, the server was prompt and chatty when needed. It wasn't busy while we were there.

Selection: They only had 6 beers on tap, which is a little low for what most breweries are doing. And while I love the concept, they only had 3 bakery items in the case (bread, brownies, cinnamon roll). I heard that they frequently run out of beers as well. I think the bakery concept will work better when the get more consistent and get more traffic. This next ski season will be a big test for them IMO. I believe they only opened in March of 2015 so they are still new.

Food: As mentioned before, the fries are awesome and the chicken tenders are hand-dipped. Beer bread was hit and miss. I didn't get to try a lot of food so bear that in mind.

Overall: The beer shows promise but the restaurant lacks a little consistency. It's worth checking out for sure, but I do feel they have some room for improvement.
