Note: I am in the process of moving all of my ratings from other beer sites to here, so that all of my ratings are consolidated in one place. The review below is an exact copy of my original RateBeer review from 10/20/2023.
12 oz. can, 5.5% ABV, CANNED: 07/18/23
AROMA: Smells moderately sweet with scents of caramel and malt.
APPEARANCE: Pours a slightly hazy amber, with a very tall, light-tan head, that dissipates very slowly and has excellent lacing.
TASTE: Lightly sweet with mild caramel flavor. The finish is mildly dry and has a hint of banana at the very end. Honestly, this really isn't a complex beer. Which equates to a very simple flavor profile.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied but pushing close to being full-bodied. Slightly tacky texture with above-average carbonation.
OVERALL: I think the biggest drawback to this beer is that it is a little too simple. It only has a couple of aromatic and flavor points, and that's it. Additionally, none of those points are particularly note-worthy. Having said that, I find it to be a pleasant beer that certainly won't offend anyone's palate. Which makes for a nice beer to just chill out with, at a local bar or gathering. And when you think about it, is kinda what Oktoberfest is all about. Hanging with friends while sipping on a few brews!
TIP: Fresh out of the fridge, everything is pretty muted. So for best results, let the beer warm to about 58 F and you'll get much fuller aromatic and flavor profiles.
NOTE: BeerAdvocate shows an ABV of 6.4%, but the can I bought says 5.5%. I'm guessing Crooked Can reformulated, this year.

The pour is copper colored with an ample amount of carbonation. The beer is medium bodied & the taste is rich toasted malt & caramel sweetness. Cheers! B
