In true Crooked Can fashion we’ve found barrels with a history: American oak barrels that once held the prized liquor of Kentucky bourbon distilleries and then were passed on to age sweet brandy distilled from peaches. A naturally produced flavor called vanillin, from white oak grown in the eastern United States, infuses the beer with what its names suggests—vanilla. It’s in these barrels we aged for three months Blushing Attitude—our wheat ale soured with lactobacillus and fermented on succulent peaches and tart apricots. ⁣
