still on tap at their former location, now clairvoyant brewing, which means this cant be very fresh, but one last (perhaps) beer from these guys felt like something i had to do. weirdly strong from a cream ale, and even though it doesnt show up in the drink at all to me, its kind of annoying, like its the kind of thing i want to drink a lot of, but this limits it unnecessarily to me. a little brownish tint to an otherwise pale beer, a bit of chill haze on it, short white head, looks not amazingly well refined but it smells delicious, no fade on the coffee, not sure when this as brewed but still seems fresh enough, hints of dry cocoa, vanilla, light roast, tree bark, pale malt, and i swear a lager yeast breadiness. the flavor is coffee forward, enough bitterness to offset the grain sweetness here, which has a honey note to it, definite chocolate, very good, nice balance and complexity, an almost melted vanilla ice cream thing, but its not too rich or sweet, and the coffee lingers real pleasantly on the palate and kind of long, even though this is also kind of refreshing. carbonation is good, the bubbles are tiny, which is a cool feel for it, smooth as well, good body, no problem with that, faint yeastiness, a trace of smoke and raisin in the coffee. this is cool beer, relatively well made but a cool recipe, i wonder how it was brand new, still doing well, but i bet those guys are keen to run out of the county line beers. glad i got to get this in before they dont exist anymore...

Draft at brewery. Rich golden color, quite he opposite of what you think when it says coffee. Creamy throughout, righteous cream ale with mellow coffee notes, adding some bitterness to the otherwise sweet undertones of this beer. Quite pleasant, and not at all what I was expecting.
