Very pleasing offering, rich range of flavor with an easy going sweet stout character.
Presentation: 330 cc. capped green glass bottle. Soft cream label with a map of the islands surrounded by a gold border and a small icon of a lobster. Notes name, style, inspiration, and brewery details, and 5.0 % Alc. by Vol. Manufacturing date scale is not marked. Served on a Bruery tulip glass.
A - Black pour with a nice frothy beige head, moderate retention and a fair surface lacing.
S - Gentle roasted notes, soft coffee, dash of chocolate, milky vanilla…
T - Mellow roasted sweetness, some coffee caramel, touch of coffee, minimal grassy bitterness in the finish that holds up the spectrum of expected stout flavors rather well.
M - Medium body and medium-soft carbonation… slight creaminess with a hint of bitterness in the finish.
O - Nicely balanced and inviting stout. Plenty of flavor that without much intensity does not lack character.
Notes: Quite a nice beer. Glad to have had access to it outside of the islands, and wondering if they do export it to the Chilean mainland. Another good reason to visit…
