Walking to here from Moema was a bad idea, made worse by the fact that I was carrying special beer in my backpack for a special tasting at Let's Beer. I had finally arrived and was greeted by Fil and a sip of his Resin. Let's Beer is a very small place, but manages to optimize its space with 200 labels of beer and several tables and seats within the establishment. Having a very clean place also helped.
While my main objective at Let's Beer was a bottle share that I was hosting, I did manage to sneak a few beers from the Let's Beer inventory. (Pro tip: Let's Beer will let you bring your own bottles to share, assuming the owner gets a cut). Most of the bottles rest at room temperature, while there's a fridge full of cold beers. The beer selection focuses on beer which are relatively new to the Brazilian market, may it be relatively new imports (Anchor, Duchesse de Bourgogne, Rogue, Evil Twin, 961 Beer, Hanseens) or newcomers on the Brazilian beer scene (Urbana, F#%*ing Beer <I'm serious, no joke!>, Tupiniquim, Burgman, Serra de Três Pontas). Two rotating beers flow from the taps.
Food is not served here, although I know that food trucks will park nearby and serve food while you get your drink on. Several people walked through the doors throughout the night for beer to take back home while me and others caught up on life.
Cervejoteca has the better beer selection of stores nearby, but there's something about Let's Beer which attracts me. It must be the name.
