Short Review. This was not what i was expecting at all for a Barleywine, at 6.9% abv it's very light for the style. IT tasted more like an English style Barleywine since it had hardly any hop presence, but the malts didn't have that typical barleywine taste and it really lacked those nice sweet and boozy flavors that I usually find in the style. It's just not a true example of the style and I would never guess it was a Barleywine if I had it blind. This one needs some major work.
