22 oz. bottle poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-glossy yellow color with a sly transparency about it. Light carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a finger's worth of semi-dieing white foamy head. Stringy sliding lace.
The aroma had some sweet tangerine pulp, sweet wheat and light grassy hop bookends.
The flavor took the prior mentioned aromas to blend sweetly and slide into the aftertaste in the same sort of way to add a slight little floral hop kick ever so slightly at the end.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, in the league of Gumballhead and Lil' Sumpin Sumpin, this APWA came across not as hoppy but leading the charge of being a great Summer beer that I hope 1st Republic brews for years to come for Vermont Summers.
