This is an American Blonde ale with Blood Oranges, not a Belgian Pale ale as noted in the style here on the website
L- The beer pours a hazy yellow with a one finger white head. The head recedes to a thin central island leaving a few spots of lace on the sides.
S- The nose has a mix of blood orange and light crackery malt.
T- The blood orange is much more subtle here on the palate than on the nose. There is a dry mustiness from the malt which gives it a bit of saison like quality, which makes the miscategorization of the style here understandable.
F- The mouthfeel is on the lighter side which works for the style. Carbonation is ample and prickly.
O- A decent, if not wholly successful attempt to jazz up a non descript style. I would have preferred a little cleaner flavor profile and a little less must. In the end it's an ok attempt at a summer refresher, but probably not something I'll return to.

On tap at 1st Republic and they served this in a mason jar, however, in my opinion, I believe I got what was necessary to say something intelligent enough here to speak positively about this beer.
The appearance was a nice looking light murky orange color with a slight glossing of a light white foamy head that slid off immediately to leave some quickly sliding lace.
The aroma spoke of some sweet refreshing orange pulpiness relying on a steady upbringing of a semi-sweet cracker/Belgian sort of maltiness. Light white pepper danced nicely underneath.
The flavor was a crisp sweet refreshing blend of the blood orange, white pepper and Belgian malts. Nice smooth Belgian bready to white cracker sort of aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt on par. ABV felt appropriate. Slight Belgian malty to orange sort of finish.
Overall, really nice Belgian pale ale with orange in it. Was it blood orange? Not so sure, but it's definitely brewed quite well to want to have again.
