Went through a four pack.
Three out of the four cans were poured into becher pint glasses. One was poured into a glass mug. Nothing changed throughout the variety of glasses.
The appearance was a semi-murky muddy amber to slightly brown color with a nice looking off white foamy head. Nice looking lace, somewhat messy.
The aroma carried a wonderful meshing of sweet caramel/toffee malts rolling into a nice wafer/biscuit-like character. Milk chocolate powder quaintly subsides in the backbone. Slightly squeezed grassy hops on the back end.
The flavor definitely leaned into the sweet malty side, rich and smooth rolling into the aftertaste with all of the previously mentioned aromas combining sweetly.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a steady sessionability about it. Good carbonation and ABV. Exceptionally smooth with a slight thickness to it, usually unbeknownst to the style.
Overall, this is a very nicely done amber ale. I love how brewers are adding chocolate in these in this day and age. I'd definitely come back to this.
