Can to tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a small half finger's worth of white foamy head. Takes its time to dissipate. Some concave lace, wispy and mellow.
The aroma had some shaved Vidalia onion meshing with some danky grassy/earthy character. Light on the malts but they seem slightly leaning towards the biscuity/white bready side.
The flavor seemed to blend all of those previously mentioned aromas together quite nicely to lead with a certain smooth sweetness. It's nice and clean. Mild aftertaste of sweet onions and danky earthy grass.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation as an American Imperial IPA with a slight crisp earthy contour strolling along my tongue. Finishes semi-smooth with a lingering broadside of grassy earthy dryness.
Overall, I like this one for me. It's done to style, perhaps a bit old school-ish with a West Coast sort of evidence to it.
