This is a fantastic German Pilsner style lager brewed by a small scale yet well known Vermont's veteran owned brewery.
Together with his awesome team, Casey, the Head Brewer, has done a fantastic job creating a simple and yet a complex lager.
It's a seasonal brew and I just picked up the last available 4-pack of pint cans from the brewery.
Pours rich golden. Very similar to a good Czech pale lager, much richer than a typical German Pils.
The aroma of summer grass and fresh baked sourdough was so welcome!
The taste is richer and more complex than a German Pils.
Very well done!

Can to lager glass.
The appearance was a semi-cloudy somewhat yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a decent pace. A one finger white foamy head chipped away slowly to leave some lace shyly along my glass.
The aroma had some semi-sweet biscuit malts, slight grassy hop spice and an even more subtle lemon character.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet biscuity malts and tried to bring in some of that lemon and grassiness but both elements seemed faint. Light aftertaste of biscuits and some grassy hops.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied but sat just a tad under. A wonderful sessionability embraced a good carbonation and allowing a wonderful crisp smoothness strolling along my tongue. Finishes crisp with some lemony to biscuity malt character.
Overall, I'd say it's a well brewed pilsener, and possibly more of a modern Americanized twist.
