This Belgian inspired Christmas Ale is brewed with selected caramel malts and American hops. This makes it perfect to be enjoyed with family and friends in winter and Christmas time.

Copenhagen 16/2 2022. 33 cl bottle from Beerlivery web-shop. Label in Munkebos usual design in a dark red version with their logo with the gnarly tree.
Pours murky, dark mahogany with a small white head.settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense and sweet and malty bordering on being sugary. Mingling with a load of Christmas spices. Brown sugar, cloves, fennel and hints of sweet orange. Fermented, boozy notes.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a modest bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lean with Christmas spices. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
A bit too much on the sweet and Christmassy side for my taste buds.
