Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on July 9, 2019. Le Jus variant aggressively hopped solely with Mosaic hops. Showcases aromatics of fresh passionfruit and dank hops undertones. Blueberry and ripened mango guide your palate into a soft, pillowy finish.

16oz can, dated June 28, 2019, poured into a 14oz brandy snifter glass.
The beer pours a very hazy and turbid golden color, thick with orange and honey hues and a foamy white head, modest retention but yields tons of soapy lacing. The aroma is pleasant, dank and weedy, green and raw hop leaf, citrus peel, orange juice, wildflower, soft grain and sweet yeast. The flavors are nice, juicy valencia orange with bitter grapefruit peel, wildflower and dank resinous hop oils, light pine, biscuit malt, mineral water and sweet yeast. The mouthfeel is good, thicker medium body, coating and creamy but with a nice liveliness and a dry and bitter finish.
Verdict: A nice NEIPA from Alarmist. Perhaps a bit too raw and earthy when compared to the standard release of Le Jus. Not nearly as bright and delicate as the Citra DDH release either, but still, a super delicious and excellently well made NEIPA. If you love mosaic, you'll love this beer.

7/6/19 (Chicago): $16 four pack 16 oz cans canned 6/27 purchased at Alarmist Brewery. Can poured into imperial pint nonic glass, hazy orange juice pour, generous white lacing leaves nominal lacing. Nice pine citrus aroma, balanced smells bitter. Pine citrus taste, tropical fruit as well, balanced, slightly bitter, my kind of NEIPA! Tart medium mouthfeel, no carbonation, light summer drinking. Overall very good pour.
