16oz can, no apparent freshness date. Thanks to Derek for giving me a can to try! Orangey-bronze colored ale is topped with a thick, creamy, and frothy off-white head that leaves chunky lacing on the glass. Pine and citrus with bready caramel malt for a nose. Great balanced west coast IPA flavors with notes of bread crust, nutty caramel malt with a hefty bitter dose of pine, orange, grapefruit, and mango. Medium body, very resinous, moderate carbonation, and a pungently bitter finish that does hold some residual sweetness for the malt backbone. This surprised me - better than expected!
