I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured an opaque dark with very thin tan head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had roast and coffee notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark chocolate malt base and roast and espresso presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
John the Percolator, y'know, wrote the Book of the Seven Beans. Ahem. Anyway, this stuff pours a stolid onyx topped by a finger of light sandstone foam. The nose comprises strong coffee, roasted malts, a touch of candied orange peel, and a sprinkling of cocoa powder. The taste mostly brings in more of the same, though the coffee comes across as a bit green and bitter for my liking. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a mostly fluid feel. Overall, a solid coffee stout, though the choice of coffee didn't quite sit right with me.
