I really enjoyed hitting up Edwardsville's only brewery while visiting for a wedding. The staff was good, very knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, they had to engage customers the entire few hours I was there and were very comfortable and in no way hesitant to do so. I got a lot of knowledge about every beer on the menu (I sampled every one) as well as bottles and including the guest tap and the cider.
Every beer was good, and the quality generally rests in the "very good" range. The tap selection was 12 plus a guest beer tap and one tap from a cidery in St. Louis.
The aesthetic of the building was cool, lots of brick and wood but well lit with lots of space. You could see into the brewing facilities behind glass as well.
This brewery focuses on local and carries some really nice snacks from local makers. I had some chips from a local place and cheese curds from another, all of which was good, and there's free popcorn for those who want to get something besides alcohol in without having to pay.
I should mention there's a selection of quality bourbons and cocktails.
Recess is a great experience and well worth checking out when in Edwardsville.

Extra .25 points added to selection as a number of their drafts are also available in bottle. Located just down the street from the Main Street shopping area so street parking wasn't a hardship. No food; pretzel sticks on the bar. Good selection of beers.

Great small brewery with something for everyone. Unless you're really into Bud Light.

Fairly new addition to the rapidly changing Edwardsville scene. Nice, homey craft brewery on a rapidly developing strip of downtown. 11 house taps when we were there as well as a few regional brews & ciders. Beers tended towards the 'creative' rather than 'classic' but were overall quite good (the novelty 'Route 66' beer can be skipped).
Staff was friendly and excited to explain their lineup & history. Bar games, cards, etc. Nice place to hang out and grab a flight and a growler fill.
