On tap at Taft's Ale House, arrived in a nonic pint glass.
Appearance: Arrived as a pale, crystal-clear golden beer, capped with a frothy head of white foam, which lingered decently. Left patchy lacing on the glass.
Smell: A mixture of ripe timothy hay and faint white grape, suffusing a base scent of biscuity malt.
Taste: This brew opens with a base flavor of light biscuit and cracker, atop which rolls in a delicate haze of wheatgrass and dried hay, with just a subtle hint of a blooming floral garden nearby. As it moves along the palate, quiet, faint notes of dogwood bark and honeydew melon rind emerge, as well as a whisper of white grapes.
Mouthfeel: Light and crisp, as one would want from a pilsner. The finish is slightly watery, but forgiveable.
Overall: I rather enjoy this pilsner, each time that I have it - which is fairly frequently.
