Thoroughly enjoyed from the growler via Jungle Jim's in Fairfield. This nice brown pours a moderately clear mahogany with a modest head of off white foam that subsides to a thin ring, thin pool, and decent lacing. Nose of subtle vanilla, medium roasted nutty malts, subtle oak, and cola. Flavors follow the nose with light vanilla and nicely toasted malts on the front and middle, oak hits the sides and back with a touch of cola and subtle earthy notes. Very nice with medium mouth feel, medium carbonation, and a nice sweet vanilla infuse finish that is lightly dry. Solid for the style. A first for the Little Lady and myself from Taft's....and a solid one at that.
Cheers

Hickory brown body; thin head. Cocoa and sweet chocolate smell. Flavor mirrors aroma with subtle hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; smooth and velvety.
Excellent all-around flavor; balanced sweetness and bitterness with emphasis on the chocolate sweetness.

Vanilla Oaked brown ale poured at the tap house. Pours a brown color with some amber. Thin light head dissipates quickly. Vanilla prominent on the nose, some oak - conversely oak is predominant on the taste with light vanilla. Nice balance on this one. Smoother mouthfeel makes it an easy-drinker. Very enjoyable
