Body poured a pale yellow with good fluffy head. Good lacing throughout the tasting.

Nose a a bit of malt and a lot of honey.

Taste follows nose but the malt and honey are much diminished in flavor. A light hop bite is added to the mix. The mix is nothing special.

Mouthfeel is light and carbonation low.

This beer is listed in the Marzen style and it lacks the basic characteristics of the style. No richness, no big malty flavor, no roasty flavor, etc. Meh.

Golden color, murky hazy appearance. Muted malt aroma. Taste was mild, but had more bitterness in the aftertaste than other Oktoberfest beers. Little chance I'd buy again.

Pours golden and clear into my Guinness glass. Almost no head.

Smells a little skunky.

Tastes a little hoppy. A little citrusy. A little skunky.

Feels good. Well carbonated.

It’s OK. I probably won’t go for this again.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had grain and malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with common festbier presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

12oz can stamped 082021 (about two months old now) poured into a dimpled mug at fridge temp 5.7% ABV. The beer pours mostly bright very light golden amber with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is faint with a little malt and yeast. The taste is semisweet pale malt with a hint of tart, medium floral hop flavor and bitterness. Noticeable diacetyl. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, not great.

A - Bright golden pour, hazy, with a moderate white head, mild lacing.

S - Pungent hit of grassy hops and crackery malts.

T - Pretty tasty, bright, with pungent honey malts, bread and cracker, a touch of apple, spice and grass, and a bit of sharp bitterness to trail off in the finish.

M - Prickly carbonation, light weight, dry finish.

O - A decent German lager, good taste and quite satisfying, but lacking much depth.

On draught, arrived in a nonic pint.

L: Arrived a clear honey-gold, with a finger of white head with okay retention.

S: Almost honey-sweet, with some biscuity malt and a soft grassiness.

T: Biscuity malt drizzled with honey and lawn clippings, indeed. Some faint floral and leafy tones. Clean, dry finish.

F: Medium and silken.

O: That's not a bad go at a festbier.

Canned on 7/13/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with solid clarity; fluffy white head that fades leaving solid retention and nice lacing. The aromas are sweet. Some caramel and vanilla. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More caramel and vanilla. Some breads and grains. Soft sweetness. Low bitterness. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and sharp.

This is a decent Oktoberfest. It's slightly rough around the edges for the style, but not really in a bad way. It's still enjoyable and fun to drink. Not bad. I do like it.

Can dated 7-24-19. Great Lakes tulip.

A: pours a surprising gold color, with the slightest hint of haze and a white head that quickly dissipated to s disappointing skim of bubbles in the center of
the glass. A few streams of small-bubble carbonation flow up. No lacing to speak of.

S: it’s a lager, alright! Strong lager yeast smell. This is what craft lagers smell like; lager yeast and malt, but sort of pardon the pun, but flabby, nondescript.

T: much like the aroma, it is clearly a lager, and not highly hopped, somewhat malty, but not terribly characterful. This reminds me of Land Grant’s Urban Sombrero, which was supposed to be a Mexican/Vienna lager, but just tasted like a mediocre craft lager. The lager yeast is there, but little in the way of hops or malt complexity.

M: heavier end of mid weight, relatively low carbonation. It lacks the mouth filling richness one expects in an Oktoberfestbier, and is just a bit too sweet and heavy to feel sessionable.

O: well, my first beer from Taft’s, and i’m glad I tried it, but it is not making me want to try more beers from them. This is a perfect example of why the macros deserve more respect - lagers are hard to brew. This is fine, but I would not buy it again, and if I saw it in a cooler at a party, I’d probably pick something else.

Clear pale gold color
Very fait malt aroma with subtle hops.
Taste follows suit with a bit a honey note but just a hint of sweet.
Light to medium body with moderate carbonation, drinks easy.
