L: Pours a clear pale gold, and formed about two and a half fingers of just off white foam. The head shrunk fairly quickly into a thin cap, which left spotty lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: The nose is reminiscent of fields of ripe wheat near an orange grove.
T: Interestingly for a beer with "pale" in the style, this does not instantly trigger my anti-bitter response. I give Taft's Ale House props for that alone! The flavor palate opens with a rather heavy orange-lemon presence, which by the swallow fades back to allow an earthy, grassy sort of character to take center stage. It does finish dry, with an aftertaste of mingled citrus and soil.
F: Full bodied, as one wants from a wheaten malt bill.
O: As bizarre as it feels for me to type this, this a a pale wheat ale that I can enjoy. What is this sorcery, Taft's? Which devils art thou in league with? Because they deserve a tip.

Pours a mostly clear golden color with a finger of dense white head.
The aroma is the best feature of this beer. Smells like fresh baked bread with some lemon zest. I feel like I’m in a bakery.
Wheat bread flavor is highlighted by a nice citrus zest flavor throughout the sip. Finishes dry and a little spicy.
Medium bodied with consistent prickly carbonation.
Overall this is a delicious beer with no obvious flaws. Very well balanced crisp and clean. I will be keeping this in the fridge all summer.
