I'm trying this off the tapper at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured a clear golden with no head that is no lace. The scent had good solid grain and hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain base and bitter hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Where Session IPA often gets a bad rap, the flavors of hops in a smaller package is always needed. And for those occasions, Taft's Ale House has such a beer. Built like a pilsner but hopped like a modern pale ale, this beer's potential sees no end.

Pale gold and medium straw, the hazy Infinity Hops leaps right out with a perfumy aroma of citrus, tropical fruit and melon before introducing a gentle sweetness of wafer, honeysuckle and fresh bread to the early palate.

The beer takes a crisper tone on the middle palate when the malt influences fade rapidly and the hops start to soar. Lime, pink grapefruit, tangerine gather a citrus impression while hints of passionfruit, papaya and pineapple seem more tropical in nature. the juiciness of lychee and honeydew keep the session refreshing while the beer develops an herbal and spicy bitterness to balance as the finish nears.

Light, crisp and refreshing throughout, the beer finishes like a lighter palate ale with modern hops, trailing into a medium length aftertaste of grass, herb and green tea.
