For the adults who still seek out the flavors of childhood, Taft's has your beer- a not-too-sweet, not-too-tart and not-too-boozy everyday sipper that satisfies the ten-year-old in all of us.
Pale and golden-straw, Nellie's Orange Creamsicle Ale carries a faint haze and a frothy white cap to appeal to the eye. But its radiant scent of orange, sweet cream and vanilla entices the nose even more. As its gentle sweetness splashes the tastebuds, the flavors of light cereal, cream candy and light taffy ring in those creamsicle flavors effortlessly.
As the cereal sweetness slowly fades, the orange flavors pull from its candied upstart and veers in the direction of orange peel with ints of orange blossom, verbena and a light, almost-pithy bitterness. All wrapped in a balance of vanilla, the late palate is balanced between lingering sweetness and mild hop bitterness with a refreshing character overall.
Medium-light, crisp and refreshing, the mostly clean taste leads to a quick aftertaste with a mild citrusy tanginess and a short citrus peel bitterness in aftertaste.

I am in LOVE with this beer. It tastes EXACTLY like an orange creamsicle, but not overly sweet. I could drink a lot of these in a weekend and be a happy person.
