A substitution of wheat for our base grain (2-row barley) gives this summer seasonal a lighter, cracker-like malt backbone, which supports a tropical fruit forward hop bill: Belma and Crystal. Then we fermented this batch with a blend of our house American Ale and seasonal Belgian Ale yeasts, layering it with fruity esters and spicy phenols.

Cloudy amber brew with a modest foam in the pint shaker. Sparkly on the tongue. Rather thick mouthfeel. Warm and toasty taste with plenty of malt.
Hops provide a little bitterness, but it mostly tastes like yeast. Not one of the more interesting Belgian IPAs. On tap at BEER on Stark St. in Portland. [Review from May15, 2015 tasting notes]
