Batch #2. Bottled 11/15/16; drank 11/19/16 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange rust appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice white head; thick, frothy lace.
Orange citrus, pine & lactose sugar notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Dry pine & lactose sugar flavors up front; mild orange citrus & bitterness mark the finish. This isn't at all my DIPA profile; dry & cloying at the same damn time.

Meh.
Rather dank with no interesting aromatics. Perhaps a bit on the old side, but there was no bottling date, so that goes into my rating. I have more duds than bangers from Mikerphone. Hard to justify taking the risk on these pricey 750ml, with so many local DIPAs hitting the market in the superior 16oz can format for 60% of the per-ounce cost.

Dark orange to light amber in color, mostly hazy and opaque. Big white head with fantastic retention and lacing. The aroma is big tropical fruit, by far the prominent aroma. Pineapple, guava, mango. Grassy, dank notes as well. Flavor is much more complex. Tropical fruit, pine, grass, dank. Really nice. Heavy side of medium body, moderate carbonation, fairly dry, and somewhat bitter finish. Very impressed with this one.
