Pours really dark black with a just shy of a one finger mottled bubbly head. There are Russian Imperial Stouts that would be so happy to be so dark in color. Aroma is quite coffee and maple, with each being roughly equal in profile. Taste is quite coffee here, with any maple flavor being second. There is a dry, snap to the sip, ending in a maple finish. There is a milk chocolate character, but I find it subdued and not easily pronounced. If you like coffee stouts with maple, this may be one to try.

On tap at Robin Room in Madison, WI. Delicious! Prominent smooth, milk chocolate character with coffee, maple syrup, and vanilla. Thick and creamy mouthfeel.

A - Dark body, opaque with reddish brown highlights, short head fading to a thin cap. Some small bubble lacing.
S - Superb nose, big maple notes, coffee, and lush bread malt notes. A breakfast in a single sniff.
T - Open is maple sweetness, coffee and dark chocolate richness, French toast cinnamon and caramelized sugars, and an acidic bite in the close that trails into a long maple fade.
M - Soft carbonation, fairly sticky on the tongue, with a bit of dryness that partially but not completely clears the tongue for the next sip.
O - One of the better breakfast stouts I've had. Dialed to high volume, delicious, and satisfying. So glad I finally got a 4-pack.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Black colored body. Two fingers of tan head quickly recede and disappear. No lacing.
Aroma is first with maple syrup and then the coffee. Roasted malts.
Taste is sweet from the maple syrup and bitter/earthy from the coffee. The roasted malts provide a balance. Taste profile extends into the aftertaste.
Thicker mouth feel. Has considerable stickiness. Hides the ABV%. Good carbonation.
Top tier for balancing the maple syrup with the coffee.

16oz can into a pint glass. Could not find any freshness dating.
Great look after the initial pour, black as night body with a giant dark tan head. This eventually fades away, not much lacing. Aroma of rich dark coffee. The taste follows, with a slightly bitter roast which lasts into the finish. Of note is that the maple syrup element can't be detected, and I wonder if some age has caused this to fade. If so, might be for the better. One dimensional drink, but a good one.

Scents of molasses, toasted brown sugar, black licorice, and a little smoke come out as I pop the can open. Not sure what I was expecting, but three fingers of milk chocolate-colored foam tops what could be French-pressed espresso or blackstrap molasses... opaque and very dark. I am surprised that the flavor is not strong initially, and only registers just as I swallow: slightly bitter coffee, black licorice, a little molasses, and a lot sweet (to the point - and beyond - of being cloying)... possibly like Turkish coffee, from the descriptions I've read. The mouth feel is of a constant low-grade astringency in a slightly viscous and round delivery system. This is interesting, but I'm only able to stomach it due to the pizza I'm eating countering the sweet.
