Solid dipa with nods to some tried and true flavors in honey, floral hops, grapefruit, guava, and mango, and giving the lead roles to some not as common ipa elements, cantaloupe, herbs, caramel, and melon. The result is a sweet forward fruit beer that is met with light yet cuttingly bitter hops. Definitely worth trying as something different, even if the overall beer is not a hall of famer.

On tap at the brewery - Elk Grove Village, IL
Opaque tangerine colored ale with a foamy off-white head. Juicy aroma hinting at orange zest and tropical fruit; a bit floral. Nice meld of flavors going on: orange, tangerine, grapefruit, piney mango, and honey; has some nice floral aspects I'm assuming are coming from the orange blossom honey that adds some nice delicacy to the overall flavors. Full body, creamy yet a bit resinous, finishes bitter - modestly at first but seems to build bitterness on the palate. Overall, a really enjoyable and refreshing DIPA with some great tropical hop flavors and orange blossom honey.

After the first few drinks, you start to really pick up the booziness of it. Would expect that sort of alcohol taste from a 12% beer, not a 8%er. None the less, it's a great beer. Reminiscent of square grouper from pipeworks. A nice beer.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pt 8 oz can on December 8, 2015. Look is hazy gold orange with off-white head and lingering lacing. Smell is pine, citrus, honey, herbal and floral aromas. Taste is fresh citrus, juicy stone fruits, floral, honey and caramel malt flavors. Feel is medium in body with a creamy smooth finish.

Pours a pretty hazy golden orange color with a two finger off-white head. Looks inviting.
Aroma is of pine, candied orange, orange peel, herbal notes, floral, and peach from the hops. A nice honey sweetness and light carmel sweetness to balance it. Juicy and fruity nose.
Taste delivers a juicy candied orange and floral flavor from the hops with some honey sweetness up front. The middle brings more of the same, with the addition of some peach and very light carmel. Orange marmalade is what comes to mind here. The honey sweetness hits it's peak at this point. The finish is slightly dry, but that honey sweetness lingers. Get more candied orange, floral, and peach, as well as an orange peel and piney bitterness.
Medium body. Nicely carbonated and creamy. Pretty oily, especially on the finish due to the hops.
This is my first time trying these guys and I'm impressed. You can tell these guys know their hops. Wonderful hoppy profile with a nice amount of honey sweetness to keep everything in check. I look forward to trying more from these guys.
