750 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 12/14/17.
Pours a dark brown, opaque, thick and oily looking, with a one inch quickly dissipating head and some filmy lacing. Aromas of cocoa, coffee, malt, caramel, some chocolate. The taste also starts with cocoa, then caramel, coffee, medium roast malt, milk chocolate, some molasses. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
This is what it was advertised to be. The cocoa is solid and pervasive, but the coffee is the star. Really smooth. Very enjoyable and well worth a purchase the next time it comes around.

Wow let's start with the feel, this was thick as tar, chewy, viscous, smooth and heavy. For deep winter with the cold nights, friends. The appearance matched this feel, with a thick black body. Smell had dark roast coffee, chocolate milk, sweet malt, cocoa and vanilla. Taste really featured the chocolate and coffee up front, heavily so, with the cream vanilla, some dark fruit and a touch of caramel supporting here and there. This will keep you warm while staying pretty sweet

Pours thick and black, with a half-finger of creamy tan foam. Smell on the pour is popping with milk chocolate and earthy coffee. Significant yogurt notes on the tongue, along with rich chocolate, light suggestions of vanilla, kahlua syrup, and a strong umami from the coffee that verges on mushrooms. Bitterness only comes through on the finish. Full, luxurious mouthfeel makes for a pleasant sipper.

On tap at Funk Factory. 6oz served in a tumbler glass. Pours a dark black body, opaque with a one finger offwhite head, good retention and not much lacing. Smell is roasty black coffee, a bit of dark fruit, milk chocolate and a bit of lactose creamer, hefty dark chocolate presence as well; this all translates well onto the palate, the milk/lactose tempers the initial burst of black coffee which contributes both roast and a bit of dark fruit. Lots going on here, rich and delicious with a medium-fuller body and appropriate carbonation, smooth milk chocolate finish with a touch of roasted coffee. Tasty coffee milk stout for sure, on a different level than say, Sump.

L: Very dark brown, not too thick, with a good amount of fizzy tan head
S: Coffee and chocolate - really nice
T: More coffee and dark chocolate. A little bit of lactose flavor. Not an incredibly complex beer, but the flavors it had were very pronounced and very good.
F: Really, really smooth. One of the smoothest (maybe the smoothest) drinking heavy stouts I've ever had. Milk stouts are often smooth drinkers, but I don't think I've ever had one this smooth with this much flavor.
O: Not incredible because it's not really very complex, but a really good beer that I'd definitely drink again. I feel like this one would be good to put in barrels, because the bourbon would complement the flavors very well.

750mL bottle. Black pour with a creamy brown head. Huge coffee aroma - just great. Chocolate and roasted barley in the nose as well, but that coffee - wow. Nice balance of flavors that border on being cloyingly sweet at times with notes of coffee, chocolate, cream, caramel, and earthy hops. Full body, finishing sweet and very rich. Overall, another great stout from Mikerphone. Glad to try it!

On tap that Mikerphone. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy coffee colored head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and a little cream. Tastes almost like a dark chocolate phosphate with a bitter coffee finish. Very viscous and very deceptive as the 10% abv really does not show up in the taste. Another quality stout from Mikerphone.
