Brewed with Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin hops, yep, that is exactly what it smells and tastes like. Probably not the best combination of hops. Slightly hazy appearance with plenty of lacing left down the glass. Aroma is like cat piss and white wine with some pine and citrus. It is kind of appealing despite my description. Flavor leans towards the vinous side with the Simcoe playing 2nd fiddle. Just not a fan of Nelson Sauvin used like this as it needs a larger party to mingle with. The body and carbonation leans towards the NEIPA variation. Too soft and mild but this is the trend.

A: The beer is a little hazy yellow in color with some amber hues and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with lots of small patches of bubble son the surface and many lacy rings of bubbles coating the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberry are present in the nose along with hints of pine.
T: The taste follows the smell but has much stronger notes of citrus and hints of white wine in the finish.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be quite flavorful for a pale ale - it has the amount of flavors that you would expect from an IPA.

On tap at the brewery - Elk Grove Village, IL. Opaque pineapple juice colored body with a tight foamy creme colored head. Juicy & tropical hop aroma hinting at passion fruit, stone fruit, and grapefruity citrus. Huge juicy tropical fruit with bold notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and orange, mango, lemongrass, and fresh piney hops; light biscuity malt. Fuller body, pleasant carbonation, dry, bitter, and citric finish. This was great!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz bottle on August 14, 2018. A double pale ale brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe hops. Look is hazy gold with an orange hue. Nice orange citrus aromas and flavors.
