Batch 040. Bottled 6/23/17; drank 6/25/17 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy off-white head; strong tree-rung lace.
Bubblegum, pineapple & faint fresh soap notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Bubblegum & pineapple flavors up front; peach, mild dry wheat & faint fresh soap notes on the finish. No booze heat.
Fragrant & flavorful; the soap notes aren't straight up my alley but are mild enough that they don't mar this too much. Good.

Tropical fruit bomb ipa. Full of pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, nectarine, star fruit, and then some citrus orange and grapefruit. Very juicy, hops are drier and in the background until the finish, even in the nose. Little thin in body for imperial, but juice pulpiness covers up. Nice refreshing dipa

The obligatory “grapefruit juice in my glass” pour, the nose on this is particularly nice with pineapple and oranges, but especially the spicy passion fruit.
The taste follows the nose, and the spicy passion fruit is the star of the show. An outstanding example of the NE-style DIPA, IMHO.

On draft at Mikerphone Brewery in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Cloudy orange in color with average amount of foam for a DIPA. This all DDH Galaxy DIPA smells and tastes very tropical. Galaxy hops are unmistakable. The big downside is the weak mouthfeel which made me disappointed. It can also be a bit sweet after a few sips. Would order again though.

A: Cloudy, hazy, juice-like, golden with a touch of reddish-brown apple cider color.
S: Pineapple and grapefruit - pure fruit juice.
T: Pineapple and grapefruit, maybe some other tropical fruits, with only a tiny bit of hop bitterness.
F: Feel was super-smooth and creamy, really hard to believe that it's 9% when it's cold, but it does start to feel a little boozy when it warms up a little bit.
O: Really, really good beer. Maybe not Mikerphone's best IIPA, but I would drink it again in a second.

12 oz serving tasted in a tumbler from draft at the Mikerphone Brewing taproom on June 24, 2017. Look is hazy orange gold with a foamy off-white head and sticky lacing. Smell is floral with appealing juicy tropical and citrus fruit aromas. Taste is mango, papaya, guava, tangerine and pineapple with sweet pale malt flavors. Feel is smooth, medium in body and somewhat dry in the finish. Recommended.
