Bottled 10/5/16; drank 10/18/16 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy dark khaki head; decent lace.
Cinnamon, milk chocolate & cream notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Cinnamon & cream flavors up front; rich milk chocolate & sweet molasses notes on the finish.
Sweet, to be sure, & best shared in a large group; however, they fixed the vomit nose issue & this was enjoyable.

Served very lightly chilled. BIG cinnamon nose and finish. A quick hint of sweet up front. There is no way you'd guess this was 10%. Really needs to be sipped to pull all the flavors.

Brought this one to the Thursday night share. Real dark, thin almost purplish edges. Strong cinnamon notes on the smell. Cinnamon and molasses taste with a slightly thin oily feel with a mild tang.

Pours deep, black-brown with a colored head that fades quickly except next to the glass. Smell is sweet and favors cinnamon and molasses with hints of chocolate. Hints of alcohol come through on the nose, which is a bit surpising for a non-BA sweetened imperial stout (but it is 10% ABV, after all). The cinnamon comes through on the palette more than batch one, though I'm drinking this a bit more fresh than I did batch one, so it's possible that additive can fade fairly quickly. Also present are sweet molasses, roasted malts, caramel and chocolaty goodness, but they do not make the beer feel sticky sweet. I also pick up something faint that I cannot place and but do not think belongs, though it seems to disappear as the beer reaches room temp and other flavors come to the fore. Feel is improved from batch one with spot on carbonation. Overall this is an improvement from batch one, though there is just the hint of some off flavor that I cannot place. An easy drinking imperial stout.
